Karen Newsome, APRN

Karen Newsome is an advanced practice registered nurse that acquired her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT, in 2004. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the Simmons University of Boston, Massachusetts, in 2020. She was recognized for her commitment to healthcare by earning membership in the Sigma Theta Honor Society. She started her nursing career in Medical/Oncology, spending most of her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse. She later served the women’s health community as an APRN. Karen is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and has been a licensed Connecticut State Advanced Practice nurse since 2020. Karen has many years of experience and pairs it with empathy and compassion. She is committed to providing quality care in a safe, accepting atmosphere. She is currently practicing Rheumatology at Sagebrush Health in Southington, CT.
